Alessia Cara - "Scars to Your Beautiful" & Taylor Swift - "Delicate"

So I woke up with “Scars to Your Beautiful” in my head, and it was so strong, this understanding that your faults define you more than your flawlessness ever could, then immediately after I heard “Delicate” and it hit me that if we weren’t delicate, if we weren’t vulnerable, if we didn’t allow ourselves the opportunities to learn by failure, then we wouldn’t be anything like what we are; and I LIKE what we are.

I’m not talking about the royal we, I mean humanity. Yes we’re in a hard, weird, backwards time, where everything feels aggressive and everyone seems angry or on edge, but at our core, we are love. We are soft, beautiful creatures, designed for loving each other. We are Delicate and Beautiful. Cherish each other.

So today, with my own tiny place in this universe VERY apparent to me, I choose Alessia Cara’s "Scars to Your Beautiful" & Taylor Swift’s "Delicate" and my duo of, one must accept the one to receive the other, the joy is in the contrast, and seeing that the differences are only something we invented, songs for a, believe in your own little heart, every tiny spark of divinity, inside of a fragile little shape we call our own, Wednesday.
